I was honored to be one of six artists chosen from nearly 200 applicants for this prestigious award. I will be working with Master Paper Maker Anne McKeown at the Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions at Rutgers University. We'll be working together until April 4 on an edition of 30 pieces, 10 of which will join the collections of New Jersey's top museums.

The Newark gallery scene took a giant step in October, when Rupert Ravens opened his enormous gallery -- the largest in New Jersey -- a block downhill from the Hall of Justice. I'm proud to have five pieces in the inaugural exhibition, which brings together more than 70 regional, national and international artists.

VIZ INTER-ARTS AT CITY LIGHTS

San Francisco's storied independent book store now carries "Viz Inter-arts Event: A Trans-genre Anthology," which features my collaboration with revered poet Jerome Rothenberg. The Viz anthology is a veritable who's who of inter-arts luminaries: "More than an archive of individual events, Viz. Inter-Arts ... is a print publication that seeks to be an event," according to City Lights' Web site.
